I believe that my God/dess/Creator/Higher Power wants me to be the best person I can be-- which means being a creative person. I just started reading The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity and I think the author puts how I feel into words quite nicely-- "Those who speak in spiritual terms routinely refer to God as the creator but seldom see creator as the literal term for artist. I am suggesting you take the term quite literally. You are seeking to form an alliance, artist-to-artist with the Great Creator."
